When asked if recording in the surgery room endangers the patient’s life this is what he had to say;
“Recording videos while performing surgery does not distract me whatsoever while am performing surgery”. Instead, it boosts patients confidence and shows transparency because I showcase everything that happens in the whole surgery without hiding anything”.

Dr. Miami However, says not all patients like to be Snapchated, he always asks permission first from the patient before he films his surgery.

Dr. Salzhauer started posting his surgery pictures to another social media outlet Instagram. But he was kicked out for being too graphic.
That is when his 16 years old daughter introduced him to Snapchat. Dr. Miami has five employees whereby two of them are full-time Snapchaters.
The two Snapchat full-time employees capture every move Dr. Miami makes in the surgery room and service Snapchat sidekicks which have helped them have a huge following of their own also.
Everyone in the office is on Dr. Miami’s Snapchat game broadcasting every detail from the moment he walks in the door.
Dr. Miami’s popularity only seems to be growing. In the year 2016, Salzhauer was nominated for the eighth annual Shorty Award in the Snapchatter of the year category where he came in second place losing to Dj. Khaled who took the first position.
