Plastic Surgery procedures are some times very expensive that you cant afford and are not Covered by Insurance.

However, if you have been thinking about going for one and you are worried on how to finance it, you might be surprised that your health insurance firm covers it.

If you don’t have money to pay for your surgery, here are the procedures Didn’t Know are Covered by Insurance.

2. Boob jobs

Boob job also known as breast augmentation is another cosmetic surgery covered by health insurance. It allows you to reduce or enlarge your breasts to your preferred size and shape.

The average cost of a boob job is $6,300 an amount which is so expensive to pay.

However, you might be surprised to find out your health insurance covers for breast augmentation.

Not all breast augmentation are covered by health insurance. If your breast has developed a problem causing functional disabilities then your insurance cover may come in.

3. Eye job.

blepharoplasty is a surgery conducted to lift the sagging skin around the eyes that has been caused by aging, genetics and exposure.

The average cost of eyelid lift is $3,022.

Your health insurance may cover your eye job if the skin is sagging so much is obstructing your vision. or its stretched so much causing a sleep eye or impaired vision.

Eye jobs done for purposes of beautification may not be covered by your health insurance.

4. Nose job.

a Nose Job which is also referred as rhinoplasty is conducted to correct nasal defects.

A condition like a deviated septum whereby the thin wall between your nasal passage called “ nasal septum ” is displaced to one side requires a nose job to correct it.

The average cost of a nose job is $7,450.

Your health insurance may cover part of the surgery if it has been caused by a natural calamity like birth, nose injury or an accident.

5. Breast reduction.

You can go for breast reduction if you are experiencing physical and emotional discomfort.

Too large breasts may cause back pain and discomfort when you are working.

Insurance companies may cover your breast reduction surgery. However they tend to use cup size as a guideline.

6. Panniculectomy.

Does insurance cover plastic surgery after weight loss?

Panniculectomy is a surgery that is conducted to remove excess fat and skin after weight loss.

Especially if you are obese and you happen to lose a lot of weight, the skin and fat sags becoming a breading ground for yeast and other infection.

Earlier before, the insurers had denied covering for Panniculectomy. But after the American Medical Association classified obesity as a disease, the were forced to start covering it.

7. Butt lifts.

Butt lift is one of the most common plastic procedure around the world. However, you might be wondering if it is covered by insurance.
